We had our second court date on Thursday. We were SO nervous and anxiously awaiting word from our agency of the outcome. I think I checked my email every few minutes all day long! We FINALLY got an email from AAI around 6pm on Friday evening.
Everything went well, BUT one piece of paperwork was missing - our MOWA recommendation letter. MOWA is the Women's Ministry in Ethiopia and they have to write an approval letter for every adoption before the case can be finished.
So what does that mean for us now? Well, Y is not officially our son until the MOWA recommendation is forwarded to the court. So, we wait . . . again. Our agency thinks that it shouldn't take long to get the MOWA recommendation to the court - they are hopeful we'll have it by next week!
And that is when I can share pictures of our new son! Oh my goodness, I can't wait to share his pictures with you all! He is the most adorable little boy with the cutest smile EVER!
We were also told that we'll most likely be traveling to Ethiopia for an embassy appointment of either December 1st or December 15th! Looks like we'll have Y home before Christmas! And that is the best Christmas present I could ever ask for!
wow! he should be in your arms in just 6 or 7 weeks! hopin that letter arrives soon :)
