Headed home soon!

I know I've been a terrible blogger lately. Life has been busy and chaotic, but we're excited because we're finally getting ready to head home to Turkey! Our tickets are booked - we leave on March 26th!  After nearly 4 months in the states we are SO ready to get home and settled with Yohanis! 

Hopefully I will post more regularly once we're back and in more of a routine, but for now I will leave you with some pictures of my beautiful kiddos. I love these guys!

Who wants some pottery?!

Those of you who know us in real life know that Joel is a very gifted potter. He started making pottery in high school art class and it just came so naturally to him (if you have ever tried making pottery, you know that it is no easy task - I have never been able to get anything other than a lump of clay to form on the pottery wheel). Joel won a scholastic art award in high school and even many of our teachers would pay good money for his pieces.

Shortly after we got married we bought a pottery wheel and a kiln and all the supplies (Joel even makes his own glaze - yes, every piece down to the glaze really is handmade) and we built a little addition onto Joel's parent's shop so that Joel could have a space to work in. We were excited about going into business. Joel had always dreamed of making pottery and giving lessons, but after Colson was born God changed our plans and it wasn't long before we were headed for Turkey.

Anyway, while we have been home Joel has been hard at work making lots of new pieces and we're excited to tell you about how one (or more!) can be yours. We are having an online pottery auction! This is actually our third time doing an auction (only second time online though). We don't have as many pieces as we have had in previous auctions because Joel was in Ethiopia for a week in January to pick up Yohanis and then we were adjusting to being a family of 5.
