What our backyard looked like a few week ago: a bunch of half assembled bee hive boxes, one hard-working husband and a cute pajama clad baby "cleaning" up wood shavings.

Bake sale at the kids' school. I always make the same thing - chocolate chip cookies. It's really the only thing I ever bake, but I'm glad they are such a hit with Turks!

All dressed up on Easter Sunday
On Easter we helped host a picnic for some friends and neighbors. It was a last minute event, so we were all shocked by how many people showed up. We were expecting just a few, but it ended up being about 75 people! We had such a fun afternoon: we taught the kids some fun American games like Red Rover and kickball, we had a candy scramble and there was lots of yummy food and good conversations. We got to explain to everyone what Easter means to us and it was fun getting to know some of our neighbors better. A few of them even told us that they can’t wait for our next holiday to celebrate with us.
