Summer 2016 in America: Week 10

My Grandma Martin invited us all over for lunch! When she said she wanted to have us over, I told her to keep it simple and not to go to a lot of trouble and she looked at me with a mischievous grin and said, "You know me!" Yes, I know my Grandma Martin well. She can whip up amazing things in the kitchen and has blessed many people with her cooking. And if you get invited to Grandma Martin's house for a meal, well, it's going to be a feast!

So thankful for many special visits with my Grandma while we were in the U.S. this summer!

A day spent at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. There were so many fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, we spent most of the day at the farm and still didn't get to everything there was to do!

Lovin' on a friend's kitty.

Yohanis really wanted to ride a horse this summer and thanks to my friend, Brit, we were able to make it happen! The kids each got a turn riding her horse, Kaylee, and Vienna also had fun holding Brit's sweet baby, Kendal!

I just love this picture of Brooks, that smile gets me every time!

This is my sweet friend, Becky. I met her through an Ethiopian adoption blog more than 5 years ago when we were going through the adoption process for Yohanis. We started emailing and she was full of such great parenting wisdom, not to mention answers to my many adoption-related questions.  We became fast friends and when we found out that they lived in PA, we set up a time to meet with them after we adopted Yohanis and we were in the States for a bit. Now every time we are in the US we get together with them and it's always a good time!
